Blood Pressure Drugs Turn Deadly When You Drink These Juices

You may have heard that grape juice can seriously interfere with various medications – including many blood pressure medications. A new study, published in the Journal of Food and Drug Analysis, takes this knowledge a step further by proving that another common juice is even deadlier when used with blood pressure medications. It has already claimed several lives.

As if that wasn’t enough, two more juices were found to completely neutralize the blood pressure medications, causing false security. In a 2016 article that gave practical advice to clinicians in the Natural Medicine Journal, researchers explained that many drugs, upon ingestion, were first processed in your small intestine by a chemical called cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) before they started to circulate through your body. This is true for approximately 50% of all drugs. Under normal conditions, these chemicals ensure that these drugs are available in only small amounts, letting them do their work before your liver finally disposes of them and prepares them for excretion.

The big problem with grapefruit juice is that the furanocoumarins and flavonoids in it reduce the activity of CYP3A4. This, in turn, means that the drugs are not first processed by it, and will appear in your body in insanely high and toxic amounts. The consequences of this could include extremely low blood pressure, dangerously irregular heartbeats, unconsciousness, and difficulty breathing. Blood pressure and cholesterol drugs are right at the top of the list of drugs that are processed by CYP3A4, and these can be made toxic through the consumption of grapefruit juice. A small, 200 mL glass of grapefruit juice, or even an entire grapefruit, can make these drugs toxic for anywhere between 24 hours to three days.

Since the first batch of studies, some researchers have found that pmelo, pomegranate, cranberry, and even apple and orange juice can have similar effects. This finding prompted Chinese scientists to do a systematic review of the literature recently, in order to find out just how dangerous blood pressure and cholesterol drugs can be when taken with juice or any fruit other than grapefruit.

They analyzed 46 medical trials.

It was found that the calcium channel antagonist felodipine could become toxic when taken with seville orange juice (also called bitter or sour orange). This popular drug for high blood pressure has even been found to have caused some deaths when taken on the same day as the consumption of this juice. Normal orange juice, in turn, rendered most blood pressure drugs useless by causing them to be excreted before they could be able to do anything. This was true for direct renin inhibitors, like aliskiren, and for beta-blockers, like atenolol and celiprolol. Beta-blockers block the effects of epinephrine (adrenaline) and are often prescribed for cases such as irregular heartbeats, chest pain, and other heart conditions.

Apple juice neutralizes some beta-blockers, and pomelo juice was found to neutralize the drug for high blood pressure, (vasodilator) sildenafil, thereby rendering the drug ineffective. What this new study tells us is that doctors really have no idea as to what interferes with the drugs you’re using.

If something as innocent as apple juice can render your drugs useless, what else could interfere with it?

That is why I always recommend to try to manage your blood pressure naturally as much as possible and to get off medications if you’re already taking them.

Here is the simplest, easiest, and most effective natural method to bring you blood pressure below 120/80 in as little as nine minutes…

This odd type of salt regulates blood pressure and boosts health

For decades we’ve been experiencing the hype and hoopla about the “dangers” of sodium. The so-called nutritional specialists and the medical world keep trying to convince us that salt is a common denominator of high blood pressure and other cardiovascular diseases. However, studies have failed to prove any health benefits of a low sodium diet. In fact, multiple researches revealed that the famous DASH diet (low-salt) was linked to an increased heart disease risk.

Salt is absolutely essential to maintain good health and wellbeing if you use the right kind.
Due to this ongoing propaganda against salt, we tend to forget how crucial it is to our health and the fact that we cannot survive without it.

Unprocessed salt is necessary for many essential biological processes:

• Transferring nutrients in and out of cells.
• Regulating and maintaining blood pressure.
• Boosting the glial cells in the brain that are responsible for long-term planning and creative thinking.
• Salt is an important component of blood plasma, extracellular fluid, lymphatic fluid and amniotic fluid.
• Helps the brain communicate with the muscles to create movement.

It does, however, matter what kind of salt you use.

Regular table salt is refined and contains as much as 89 percent sodium. Compare that to a natural, unrefined salt containing less than 84 percent sodium chloride. The other 16 percent of natural salt consists of essential minerals like phosphorus, vanadium and silica. In processed salt the remaining percentage consists of manmade chemicals like moisture absorbents and added iodine.

Processed salt is then dried using an excessive heat above 1200 degrees Fahrenheit, eventually altering and changing the natural chemical structure of it. Same as with most of foods, salt is healthiest when it is not processed. One of the best natural salts available in the market today is pink Himalayan salt. It is absolutely natural, pure salt that spent thousands of years maturing under the tectonic plate of the Himalayan Mountains.

Pink Himalayan salt is minimally processed, hand-washed and hand-mined containing as many as 84 trace minerals from ancient seas. These minerals are crucial to many biological processes including regulation of glucose levels and blood pressure, healthy circulation and good bone health.
Luckily, you can find this wonder salt in most health food stores and supermarkets all over the world. Even though it’s pricier than regular refined table salt, it’s definitely worth the price.

Especially when it is also addictively delicious!

However, this salt alone might not be powerful enough to cut down your blood pressure. A much easier and faster way to slash your blood pressure are simple blood pressure exercises, proven to help lower your blood pressure below 120/80 – starting today… Learn more about!

How Resting Causes Stroke (this is truly surprising)

Brunette woman sleeping in the morning in her bedroomOften, doctors recommend people who are at heightened risk of stroke get some rest, better sleep, and not to overwork. This may, however, be faulty advice according to a new study from the University of Cambridge. In fact, getting more rest may actually increase your stroke risk 46%. But it’s a specific kind of rest that should be avoided.

Researchers used data from 9,692 people from Norfolk, England and followed up about their lifestyle habits and health history for ten years. In that time, 346 people suffered one or more strokes. Interestingly, those who slept more than eight hours per day on the average were 46% more likely to suffer a stroke than those who slept 6-8 hours. Those who slept less than six hours were also slightly more likely to suffer a stroke than the average sleepers.

This shows that although getting a good night’s sleep is important, more is not always better. Rather than sleeping 9-10 hours, use the free time for a light workout, socializing and relaxing in other ways. One thing you can do is lower your blood pressure naturally using a set of 3 easy exercises. Thousands of readers have used these exercises to bring their blood pressure below 120/80 – sometimes the very first day.

Your Health – Blood Pressure Alert

New rules mean more people are in the danger zone.

If your blood pressure is elevated but you think you’re still in the safe range, the nation’s top heart organizations want you to think again. New guidelines released by the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology lowered the diagnostic threshold for stage 1 high blood pressure to 130/80, down from 140/90. Evidence shows that this much lower threshold can help reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke in more people.

Special Risks With Arthritis: Those who have arthritis should particularly take heed, says rheumatologist Theodore R. Fields, MD, at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. “We already know that patients with inflammatory arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and lupus, have an increased cardiovascular risk,” says Dr. Fields. The new guidelines make it even more important for patients with inflammatory arthritis to have their blood pressure checked regularly, because blood pressure is one of the established risk factors for cardiovascular diseases.

Lifestyle Choices Add Up: Risks could be greater with osteoarthritis too, because pain can make it more difficult to be active, and inactivity increases the risk of becoming overweight. Sedentary lifestyle and being overweight are cardiac risk factors.

Lower Your Risk: Keep a close eye on your blood pressure numbers and take steps to lower them if they are too high. Fortunately, there is evidence that controlling arthritis inflammation with appropriate medication can reduce cardiac risk. While your doctor can tell you if you need medication to control your blood pressure, losing weight, if needed, and exercising can help. I does appear that a certain  percentage of people with high blood pressure are helped by a low-salt diet.

The simplest method to lower blood pressure naturally is the use of 3 easy exercises. Thousands of readers have used these exercises successfully to bring their blood pressure below 120/80, sometimes, from the very first day. How Dogs Lower Blood Pressure and Cholesterol

Swedish scientists have just published a study in Scientific Reports that shows that dog owners have a lower risk of cardiovascular disease and overall risk of death than those who don’t have dogs. Surprisingly, one type of dog provided their owners with the best health benefits, which gives us a strong indication of why owning a dog helps prevent stroke, heart attack and other causes of death. In Sweden, it is compulsory to register yourself as a dog owner, and you also get a registration number when you visit a hospital.

With all this information easily available, researchers compared the hospital records of dog owners and non-owners over 12 years to see who was more likely to be hospitalized and die. Those who owned dogs originally bred for hunting, like retrievers and terriers, had the lowest risk of both heart disease and death. This indicates that owning a dog that needs a lot of exercise motivates you to go out for a long walk every day, which is one of the best things you can do for your heart.

However, this is not the only reason dogs are heart healthy.

Companionship has long been linked with good health. And what better companion than a loving dog?

Older studies, like one from the American Heart Association published in a 2013 edition of the Journal Circulation, reveals that dog owners get more exercise, have lower cholesterol, have lower blood pressure, respond to stress in a way that does not elevate their blood pressure, and have a better chance to survive after an acute heart event. Now having a dog is not for everyone and even if you do, it may not be enough to lower your blood pressure and cholesterol to a healthy level.

If your cholesterol is too high, learn how to get it under control – in 30 days or less – by cutting out one single ingredient you didn’t even know you were consuming. Read more!

Surprising Cells Cause High Blood Pressure (you can control them)

This function is essential to your health. Without it, a simple flu would kill you and a splinter would bring you to the emergency room. But according to a study published in the journal, Immunity, this essential cell function is also responsible for deadly high blood pressure. Scientists from IRCCS Neuromed have discovered recently that T-cells, immune cells produced mostly by the spleen, play a major role in raising blood pressure. This sounds a little strange since the T-cells are an essential part of the immune system, but they also drive inflammation in the arteries, which causes damage to cardiovascular health.

The big question, however, is why does the body send out T-cells to raise blood pressure?

The scientists theorized that PlGF (a specific protein that interacts both with T-cell production and function to widen arteries) was the missing link in this function. To prove their theory, the scientists genetically engineered a group of mice, so they would not produce PlGF under any circumstances. Then they loaded the mice with angiotensin II, a hormone that usually raises blood pressure. But the engineered mice didn’t release any T-cells from the spleen and therefore their blood pressure stayed low. Whereas normal mice who produced PlGF, released T-cells and developed hypertension. Now, as the medical system would have it, the conclusion was to develop drugs to decrease PlGF and therefore decrease the number of T-cells released. And that’s where my opinion parts with the scientists.

Why in the world would you want to strong-arm the essential part of your immune system instead of first asking WHY does this function begin in the first place?

T-cell/inflammation response is called out when your body believes it’s under attack, or when there is a great danger to your health. This could be bacteria, pollution, foreign objects (splinter) or any other external threat to your body. Subtler, however, is any kind of stress. Especially long-lasting stress. This could be mental (challenge at work), emotional (divorce), sensory (traffic noise), or physical (running a marathon, disease), BP_139814820_m-2015but any kind of long-lasting stress puts your immune system in high gear to build up any damage done as soon as possible. This study was remarkable, and it revealed some of the physical processes your body goes through to raise blood pressure once it’s under stress. Your brain sends out PlGF, which produces T-cells and raises blood pressure when your body is experiencing long-lasting stress of some kind. Even after the stress is no longer present, the brain becomes somewhat stuck in the process of releasing PlGF. Therefore, the inflammation response (T-cells) and high blood pressure are stuck in ‘high gear,’ which again, causes stress throughout your body. The solution is to break this vicious circle. My approach is to apply something I call a Focused Break. It reboots your system, causing it to evaluate the need for increasing blood pressure or not. The typical result is that BP drops down to a normal level.

To apply the Focused Break, you must use 3 easy exercises. Learn more about the Focused Break and the 3 easy exercises here..!

The #1 Organ That Causes High Blood Pressure, and nobody talks about it

By Christian Goodman

Anybody diagnosed with high blood pressure will find a volley of ideas and thoughts on what factors and organs are responsible for the spike. But there is one organ that nobody ever talks about, not even mentions, when discussing high blood pressure. This organ secretly narrows your arteries and raises your blood pressure. The good news is, when you shed light on this organ, it’s very easy to tackle it and permanently cure high blood pressure – without medication.

A study conducted by researchers from The School of Medicine at University of Maryland, and Ottawa Heart Institute, found an interesting link between our brains and high blood pressure. In this study, the researchers identified a steroid compound called ouabain, which the brain releases to constrict or dilate the diameter of the arteries throughout the body.

The researchers performed certain experiments on animal models to find this definite link between the release of ouabain in the bloodstream and constriction of arteries. Obviously, if the brain releases more ouabain, which narrows the arteries, blood pressure rises. Just like there is more pressure when drinking milkshake through a narrow straw than a wide straw.

The most interesting part of this finding is that now we can see our brain has almost complete control over our blood pressure. If we have high blood pressure, it’s because our brain has consciously decided to release ouabain to raise our blood pressure.

So why does the brain make that decision?

The answer is any kind of stress. It can be sensory (traffic noise), emotional (divorce), mental (work task), or physical (workout, disease). Most of the time this is a temporary stress and your brain raises your blood pressure to deal with an immediate threat or condition (this is healthy).

But at some point, it becomes chronic. It’s like some neural path gets stuck in this stress circle and can’t get out of it. Obviously, then, the solution for high blood pressure must be to get us out of this circle. Tell the brain to chill out and stop overdosing on ouabain.

This is what I call a Focused Break.

Long before this study came out, I developed 3 easy exercises designed to give your brain and neural system a Focused Break, and therefore permanently lower blood pressure.
